Sara Evans has only had an unfulfilled dream throughout her entire life her desire to compose and perform in country music. "God has placed me on this planet to be a singer," said Evans, according to John Meroney of American Enterprise. This is what I am passionate about and what I will do. Additionally, Evans wanted to succeed by reverting to traditional country music that was brought to life by the legendary artists like Patsy Cline, Hank Snow, Tammy Wynette, George Jones and Patty Loveless, musicians Evans thought of as her most influential influencers. Evans, who was born in the year 1970, made her mark in the second half of the 90s when many country music aspiring singers turned to modern pop songs. This is exemplified through her 1997 debut album, True Lies. True Lies was not a huge success, even though it was appreciated by critics and receiving a 1998 Academy of Country Music nomination for the top female vocalist. Evans was able to convince her to modify her song repertoire for No Place That Far in 1999 by producers. The result was the public recognition she'd desired for so long. Sara Evans was born February 5th, 1971 from Columbia, Missouri. Sara Evans was raised with six siblings.
